One of the most energetic live bands the Netherlands has ever known are back together: the legendary CORDS are about to storm the stages again!
Ten years after the release of their latest album Lunchbox (1999) Cords are going to release a CD/DVD box titled “Collage” (PIAS), expected spring 2010. “Collage” will contain: outtakes, special recordings and two brand new tracks, plus a DVD with video clips, found footage and the registration of a thrilling reunion concert performed in 2009.
Cords decided to break up in 1999. But two concerts - on request - in 2009 made immediately clear that the whipping chemistry which took the band halfway around the world was more explosive than ever before! The raw energy and the undeniable fun was the reason for the three original members Simone Holsbeek (vocals), Trush Morsink (guitars) and Marc Fabels (bass), reinforced by Alwin Wubben (guitar) and Jerome MiedendorpdeBie (drums), to get Cords back on the road again. The searing noise-rock that got Cords to do two BBC John Peel Sessions and extensive tours through Europe, USA and Australia, sounds as urgent and fierce today as on the day it was written.
